Description

Norway Residence Permit for Skilled Workers is a type of long-term residence permit for non-EU citizens, including Indonesians, who have a valid work contract from a Norwegian company and meet the required educational qualifications or vocational training. The validity period of this residence permit depends on the job position offered.

Eligibility

Am I eligible for this visa?

  • Meet one of the following educational qualifications:
  • Completed vocational training programme of at least three years at upper secondary school level
  • Completed education or degree from a university/ university college
  • Special qualifications are skills acquired through long professional experience, possibly in combination with courses and education. You must have as high competence as someone who has completed vocational education from upper secondary school. Generally, you must have at least six years of work experience.
  • Have a job that meets the following conditions:
  • You must have received a concrete job offer from one specific employer in Norway.
  • The job must normally be full-time. If you have been offered at least an 80% position, we will accept this.
  • The job you are offered must require qualifications as a skilled worker. You must have the qualifications that the job requires.
  • The pay and working conditions must not be poorer than is normal in Norway
  • Special conditions
  • For certain types of jobs, recognition/authorization from the relevant ministry is required. List of regulated professions can be found here
  • If you are working through a staffing agency, you must include a list of assignments from the employer. The staffing agency must be officially registered here
